The Reno Police Department says officers are looking for a suspect of a robbery at the Rainbow Market on Vassar Street and Kietzke Lane on Monday evening.
Officials said around 6:30 p.m. a man entered the store and began selecting food items, then asked the clerk for cigarettes. They said while the clerk was getting the cigarettes, the suspect took items from behind the counter.
The clerk confronted the suspect and they argued. That's when police say the suspect struck the clerk with a bottle of alcohol and ran away.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with a medium build and is 5'5" tall. He was wearing a blue jacket with tan pants and an unknown color backpack.
The clerk was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
