Have you received a text from a strange number regarding a census survey? This time, it's not a scam.
The Census Bureau is conducting a Household Pulse Survey regarding the COVID-19 crisis.
Those who have been selected to participate in the Household Pulse Survey will receive an email from or a text message from 39242 with a link to complete the survey.
Officials say all communication from the Census Bureau regarding the survey will originate from a census.gov domain or be sent via text from 39242.
Respondents can reply "stop" to opt out of receiving the text messages.
