Bob Morley is an Australian actor who has made his mark both in the Australian film industry, where he is best known for his gay role in Neighbors, and in Hollywood, where he plays the lead role of Bellamy Blake in The 100 series.
Bob Morley Bio, Ethnicity
Morley was born as Robert Alfred Morley on December 20, 1984 in Kyneton, Victoria, Australia. Morley’s mother is Filipina, while his father, who died when he was still a child, is of Australian-Irish descent. This is what makes Morley’s ethnicity Filipino-Australian.
The last child in a family of four, Morley has two older sisters and an older brother. He was brought up on a farm in Kyneton. Morley has loved acting since childhood. He studied drama in school until 12th grade.
Subsequently, he moved to Melbourne, Australia and enrolled in engineering courses. After a year studying engineering, Morley returned to his true calling when he began studying creative arts at Trobe University, Melbourne.
At La Trobe, Morley managed to land an agent and began his career performing in college theater productions as well as short films. Besides acting, Morley has also played Australian rules football (AFL).

Morley began his professional acting career in 2005 making his debut in the low budget horror film Dead Harvest. Fortunately, Morley was quick to gain recognition. His performance in Angels with Dirty Faces in 2005 caught the eye of Home and Away casting directors who cast him as the lead role of Drew Curtis.
Morley didn’t miss the chance… In 2007, the role earned him the first award nomination of his career – a Logie Award nomination for Most Popular New Male Talent. Morley appeared on Home & Away for 148 episodes broadcast in 2008. While on the show, Morley took part in the 2007 Australian celebrity singing competition series, It Takes Two. He was eliminated after 6 weeks of the show.
After leaving Home & Away, Morley starred in the 2008 Nine Network series The Strip where he played the lead role of Tony Moretti.
While on the Strip, Morley revealed what he hated about Home & Away:
“It’s nice to be on a show (The Strip) where it’s not about taking your shirt off,” he said. “It was one thing that brought me down (at home and elsewhere). If that’s all I am, a meat puppet, then I don’t know if I want to keep doing it.
However, the series (The Strip) was short-lived to be canceled after the first season due to poor ratings. Also in 2008, Morley appeared in the Nine Network television movie Scorched. In 2010, he appeared in the feature film Road Train and in Season 4, Episode 5 of Sea Patrol.

After appearing in 50 episodes, Morley’s role on Neighbors ended in 2013. In 2014, he began playing the lead role of Bellamy Blake on CW’s The 100, filmed in Canada.
